JOHN LENNON
OWNED AND WORN
FABRIC SWATCH DISPLAY
WITH FILM FRAMES AND GOLD COIN + FIRST DAY COVER
WELCOME BEATLES JOHN LENNON FANS!
Unique 3 1/2 inch x 5 3/4 inch by 1/2 inch thick, clear, UV protective, acrylic holder with colorful graphics of John and Yoko's famous bed-in for peace event. The display contains 5 vintage film frames, of the event, and a swatch of grey liner material removed from a pair of black trousers/pants, worn by John in 1967. Originally acquired in the early 80's directly from Gordon Millings whose father was the owner of Millings & Son tailor shop. This was the famous tailor shop used by the Beatles, many movie stars, and other important music figures. Acquired through the British auction house of Cooper & Owen. The trousers have the original Millings and Son bevo label and the additional label with hand written notes with a "John Lennon July 1967." After careful inspection and consideration it was determined that a small fragment of material (left by the tailor) could be removed without compromising the integrity of the trousers. The material was removed from the waist area. The removal was done by a professional seamstress.
YOU WILL ALSO RECEIVE A BEAUTIFUL GOLD PLATED, 40MM, COIN WITH JOHN LENNON BUST AND "1940-1980" TO ONE SIDE AND A COLOR PEACE EMBLEM AND "GIVE PEACE A CHANCE" ON THE REVERSE. IT IS STORED IN A "WAR IS OVER-IF YOU WANT IT" HEADER, 2 3/8 INCH X 3 1/4 INCH PROTECTIVE HOLDER.
