BEATLES HAIR
OBTAINED IN 1965 BY DATEBOOK PHOTOGRAPHER/WRITER MARILYN DOERFLER
a 2 3/4 X 4 1/4 inch plastic holder that contains all four Beatles hair. The hair was auctioned off on June 9, 1982 by Sotheby's Auction lot #227. The winner then divided up the hair to make 250 sets. This set is number 233/250. The hair came from the collection of Marilyn Doerfler. The hair is from 1965. She was a writer and photographer for Datebook Magazine. She traveled with The Beatles on their US tours in 1964, 1965 and 1966. These sets of hair are generally considered by Beatles collectors to be one of the few authentic Beatles hair examples. I have owned this for over 30 years and it's time to pass it along to another Beatles fan. These rarely come up for sale.
